This painting is done in oil with a palette knife on 1 1/2 inch thick gallery-wrapped 24"x24" canvas. The print is 4 x 6" inside a card frame and an envelope is included. Inspired by the moment when the samaritan woman at the well realizes Jesus was actually the Messiah. The narrative in John 4:1-29 reveals that Jesus is the gentle redeemer of the Gentiles by the grace He patiently extends to her while she questions Him. She was a Samaritan, half Jewish and half Gentile. This foreshadows the fulfillment of the prophecy that Jesus would draw the Gentiles to himself. By proclaiming that no one who drinks the water He gives will ever thirst again, he is confirming that He is the Messiah and is ushering in a new covenant.
