I am currently offering two different afternoon workshops for adults.
One workshop is an “Oil Painting with a Pallet Knife Workshop” and the other is a prayer ministry and painting experience with acrylic paint called “A Living Canvas Workshop”. Each workshop is 3 hours long. Text Cheryl at 940-231-2861 for times, questions, and availability.
1. Oil Painting with a Pallet Knife Workshop
Beginning or experienced students will be guided through steps from color theory and mixing paint, to blocking in the painting, to completing their own painting. No supplies are needed. The cost is $100.00 per person.
2. A Living Canvas Workshop
This is a group activity designed for people who have a desire to connect deeper with God in a creative way. In this workshop, participants will be guided through the steps to help them express their thoughts and feelings with paint and connect with God through prayer. Each participant will have the opportunity to share with the group, journal, and finish three abstract paintings using acrylic paint. I add structure around the sharing time to ensure everyone has safety and an opportunity to express what God is showing them through each exercise. The cost is $50.00 per person. This is not art therapy but is a prayer ministry using art. No painting experience is necessary, but a basic faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior is foundational before participating in this workshop.
